The views are amazing, the staff is attentive, the manager is a great guy who cares for the guests staying there, and food is excellent with good selctions availible. The place is quiet, comfy, and off the beaten path so you really feel relaxed and can unwind in peace.

Woooooooooooooow I honestly dont know where to start from. ATACO COUNTRY RESORT is indeed a home away from home. The hospitality, ambiance, staff, scenery is so top notch

This place offered wonders to my vacation! I had a pleasant time laying out on the hammock in the courtyard and gorging on local food made right at the resort. The weather was beautiful and complimented the lush greenery that surrounded this place.

Ataco Country Resort is a well-known and popular venue, a few km south of Fort Portal off the Kasese Road. It looks old-fashioned compared to many of the new hotels in Fort Portal yet it's a reliable option with well-trained, friendly staff.

I have been to 5 star hotels but never have i experienced the love Ataco resort staff showed me and other guests. All staff are always willing to help. It is a very quiet place with excellent service.

What makes this resort so good is their commitment to excellent guest comfort. The grounds are meticulously maintained.Very quite and serene - a wonderful place for a quite gateway.

Chimpanzee Permits

The Chimpanzee Tracking permit costs US$200 and a US$15 service fee. This is per person. Chimpanzee Habituation permit costs US$250 and a US$15 service fee. This is per person.

All meals, activities listed below, local soft and alcoholic drinks, and laundry.

Fully inclusive rate excludes

Chimpanzee permit, premium international drinks, gratuities to driver / guides and staff, all items of a personal nature, telephone calls and souvenir shop purchases, medical insurance, other activities.

Fully inclusive activities include

Visit to Top of the World, Saaka Crater lakes, Mahoma Falls, and Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves.

Children Policy

• Children aged 4 and younger stay free of charge

• Children aged 5 – 12 pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing with adults

• Children aged 5 – 12 pay 70% of the adult rate when staying in own room

• Children aged 13 and over are considered adults and pay the adult rate

• The minimum age for chimpanzee trekking is 12 years
